Overview
Admirals, known as Admiral Markets until its 2021 rebrand, was founded in Estonia in 2001. Its EU business is supervised by Estonia's Finantsinspektsioon, and the group holds further licences in the UK, Cyprus, Australia, South Africa and Jordan.
Platforms and products
Admirals is a long-standing MetaTrader specialist, adding its own "Supreme Edition" plug-ins to MT4 and MT5. It also offers its own app, real shares and ETFs, and CFDs on forex, indices, commodities and more.
Protection
As an Estonian-licensed investment firm passported across the EEA, it applies ESMA retail protections; the Estonian scheme covers investor claims if the firm fails.
Our view
A solid EU-based choice for MetaTrader users who also want to invest in real shares. Check which account type suits your trading and the costs of currency conversion.
