Broker licence checker

Check a broker's licences, see which investor protections apply in Europe, and jump to the official regulator register to confirm.

Choose a firm to see its licences on record, what that means for someone living in your country, and the exact registers to check.

Not in our register?

That is a warning sign in itself

A firm that contacted you first, promises guaranteed returns, or asks you to install remote-desktop software is almost certainly a scam, whatever licence it quotes.

How to use this checker properly

  1. Start from our record, finish on the official register. We keep licence data for more than 500 firms, but only the regulator's register is authoritative. The checker links you to the right one.
  2. Match the legal entity. The brand "Example Markets" may run a Cyprus company for EU clients and a Seychelles company for everyone else. The company in your client agreement must be the one on the EU register.
  3. Match the website. Registers list the domains a firm is allowed to use. A different domain with the same name and licence number is the classic clone-firm pattern.
  4. Check the permissions. A firm authorised for payment services or crypto custody is not automatically authorised to offer CFDs.
