The Dutch conduct regulator
The Autoriteit Financiële Markten supervises the conduct of financial markets and firms in the Netherlands, while De Nederlandsche Bank handles prudential supervision and runs the investor compensation scheme.
Crypto under MiCA
The AFM is the Dutch supervisor for crypto-asset service providers under MiCA and has authorised platforms such as Bitvavo. It publishes warnings about unlicensed crypto and investment firms.
